Worcester County Sheriff's Office Criminal Enforcement Team
The Criminal Enforcement Team is a division of Worcester County Sheriff’s Office that was developed in January 2008. The purpose of the Criminal Enforcement Team is to pro-actively investigate various types of felonious criminal activity, including but not limited to the illegal distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The Criminal Enforcement Team is comprised of highly trained members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean City Police Department and the Maryland State Police. The Criminal Enforcement Team is comprised of uniformed and undercover personnel and is designed to investigate all aspects of criminal activity, to include controlled dangerous substance violations and interdict those individuals that utilize the roadways of Worcester County to facilitate their criminal activities. Members of the Criminal Enforcement Team are trained in the detection of individuals that are involved in trafficking and distributing bulk amounts of Drugs, United States Currency, Contraband, and Illegal Weapons throughout Worcester County, Maryland. The Criminal Enforcement Team works in-conjunction with the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office and has developed a partnership with various local, state, and federal agencies to include the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and Eastern Shore Virginia Drug Task Force.
