Worcester County Roads Division will begin slurry sealing the following County roads on or about October 31, weather permitting: Acorn, Blades, Blake, Bayview, Boxiron, Patey Woods, Scotland, Scotts Landing, and Timmons Roads, and Holly Court. Additional roads will be added to the list as the weather and temperature allow.
Slurry seal, a tar mix with small stones, is applied to roadway surfaces to seal cracks and give each road a more defined texture. This is an excellent, cost-effective way to preserve and extend the life expectancy of roadways. Residents can expect minor traffic delays while the work is being performed. All work zones will have flaggers posted to help motorists safely navigate the work zones.
