Snow Hill, Maryland – With rain in the forecast for Friday, August 9, 2024, Worcester County Fair Festivities will move indoors to the recreation center in Snow Hill for day one of the three-day fair, with the Matthew Street Band to perform live on the main stage from 6-8 p.m.
Earlier that afternoon, beginning at 4:30 p.m., join county officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off the fair. Sweet desserts will follow at 5 p.m. with the cake auction. Food trucks will offer everything from classic favorites to gourmet delights. There will also be live music, exhibits where local talent shines, and children’s activities, which will include a bounce house, carnival games, and face painting.
The 4H livestock tent will be open Friday evening, and the showing will take place contingent upon the weather. Due to the inclement weather forecast, the Jimmy Charles Band concert will not take place Friday; however, WCRP officials are working to reschedule this concert to take place at an upcoming county event. More information on that concert will be available in the near future.
