Worcester County Housing Study Published October 1, 2025.
The Housing Study has been updated by Matrix based on a change in how future housing needs are forecasted.
The two reports answer slightly different questions. The original approach asked, “What will the housing shortage look like in 2050, when Worcester County has over 25,000 households, assuming housing production continues at historical rates and current market conditions remain constant?”
The revised approach answers the question, “How much total housing construction is needed between now and 2050 to satisfy current demand and support the new households expected to form?”
