**The Water and Wastewater Service Areas are on a quarterly billing cycle (July-Sept, Oct-Dec, Jan-March, April-June). Bills are typically mailed the first week after each quarter ends. Penalties and interest are applied during the first week of the second month following a quarter end if no payment has been received by that time. Services are cut off the first week of the third month following a quarter end for nonpayment.

Facility Info
Developer built facility to serve approximately 400 “Park Model” homes that was turned over to the County for operation. Development is seasonal in nature with owners permitted a maximum of 9-months of occupancy. Facility is a 1990 version of a treatment lagoon with a dedicated spray irrigation site for effluent disposal.
Water is provided from two (2) water supply wells and a water treatment facility.
Quarterly domestic user rates
$117.00 per park trailer which includes water and sewer service. Quarterly user rates are $179.00 per equivalent dwelling unit (EDU) quarterly which includes sewer service only.
Snug Harbor assessment for debt service is $162.50 per EDU quarterly.
Grinder pump surcharge at $50.00 per lot.
Facility Info
Water only service area of forty-eight (48) customers just outside the Town limits of Berlin. Wastewater service is by private septic. Water comes from three wells sunk about 125 feet into an underground source of water called the Pocomoke Aquifer. These wells are owned and operated by the Town of Berlin, Md. Service Area purchases water from the Town of Berlin, Md

Facility Info
Developer-built wastewater treatment plant turned over to the County for operations. Facility has a capacity of 40,000 gallons per day and effluent is spray irrigated onto the golf course (8-holes) by the Golf Course Operator.
Water is provided by individual water wells.
Quarterly domestic user rates are as follows:
- Improved Lots - Quarterly charge $242.00 per EDU for sewer service only.
- Unimproved Lots - Quarterly accessibility charge $114.00 per EDU (not yet connected).
Facility Info
Recently upgraded 450,000 gallon per day treatment plant constructed by Worcester County. Plant produces high quality effluent. Discharges to shallow groundwater injection field or to Eagle’s Landing Golf Course where it is used for irrigation of the golf course. Has an emergency discharge connection to West Ocean City Wastewater Collection System for ultimate disposal through Ocean City.
Water is provided by a system of three (3) water wells and a water treatment facility.
Mystic Harbour, Assateague Point and Bayside Landings water systems are interconnected for better reliability and redundancy purposes.
Quarterly domestic user rates are as follows:

1970’s version lagoon treatment plant with surface discharge serving approximately 150 customers. Discharge is currently being changed to spray irrigation by the end of 2020.

Facility Info
Initial facility was developer-built but was twice upgraded and expanded using county funding for a 2.5 million gallon per day treatment plant. Facility produces high quality effluent that exempts the customers from “flush fee”. Effluent is discharged to the Saint Martin’s River.
Water is provided by five (5) water supply wells. The high water quality of the supply aquifer for this system requires only pH adjustment and disinfection.

Developer-built wastewater treatment plant turned over to the County for operations. Facility has a capacity of 112,000 gallons per day and effluent is spray irrigated in a dedicated spray field. Future plans are to move to spraying effluent onto the golf course as the development builds-out.
Water is provided by the Ocean Pines Water System
River Run shall pay Ocean Pines Service Area for water as provided by contract at the following rates:
- Minimum quarterly water $71.00
- Additional water charges based on usage as follows:
- $0.50 per 1,000 up to 10,000 gallons, and
- $1.09 per 1,000 gallons over 10,000 gallons up to 25,000 gallons, and
- $1.88 per 1,000 gallons over 25,000 gallons up to 35,000 gallons, and
- $2.81 per 1,000 gallons over 35,000 gallons up to 45,000 gallons, and
- $4.69 per 1,000 gallons over 45,000 gallons.
User rates are hereby set as follows: sewer at $192.00 per quarter.
Facility Info
Publicly built wastewater collection system only. Operates five (5) pump stations including a major pump station capable of pumping this wastewater under bay to the Town of Ocean City for treatment and disposal.
Most of West Ocean City is served by private water wells serving individual homes. The larger commercial areas obtain water from the Mystic Harbour System.
Quarterly user rates for sewer are hereby adopted at:
- $10.50 per domestic fixture
- $14.25 per commercial fixture.
Swimming pools are to be charged a quarterly flat rate of $26.75.
Car washes shall be charged a quarterly rate of $2.50 per 1,000 gallons based upon 70% of water consumption.
An adjusted standard assessment of 25% for platted lots in the service area that do not have sewer lines accessible to the property.
