Berlin MD- On May 2, 2022, a highly food conditioned, and aggressive horse was relocated from Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland. Delegate's Pride (N6ELS-H, also known as “Chip”) is a harem stallion on Assateague Island that had become increasingly aggressive towards park visitors and staff when pursuing human food or when park staff attempted to redirect him or his band away from crowded visitor use areas such as campgrounds and parking areas.

Worcester County Implements Safety Measures After Breach

Snow Hill, MD (April 28, 2022) – Following an extensive forensic investigation into a phishing incident that occurred between November 10-20, 2020, Worcester County Government (WCG) agencies and cybersecurity professionals discovered that a WCG email account had been breached. That email account contained limited personal information belonging to approximately 3,000 WCG and Board of Education (BOE) employee and retiree accounts.

Public Invited to Weigh In on Bond Bill and Proposal to Purchase Property for Sports Complex

Snow Hill, Maryland (March 29, 2021) – The Worcester County Commissioners will host a public hearing on a proposal to purchase 95.521 acres of property in the Berlin/West Ocean City area and identified on Tax Map 25 as Parcel 89 to develop a sports complex, using a portion of the proceeds from general obligation bond funds of $11,198,830 in FY23 to fund acquisition, design, and development costs. The public hearing will take place in the Stephen Decatur High School auditorium in Berlin on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 6 p.m.
